Some kid was telling me yesterday that pretty much after the first week or two, you stop spending real amounts of money. Which made me feel better after I bought a pair of shoes for my military physical fitness class.
So the first day of school! It was exciting, except for the missing my first class part. Wait, did I say that right? Maybe I should tell the WHOLE story first. It all started when my roommate Shawn told me before going to bed that he wasn't setting his alarm because he didn't need to get up until like 1130 or something crazy, so naturally I grabbed the closest of the three cell phones I have and set that alarm. (im borrowing Sarah's old cell while im waiting for my new cell phones SIM card. And I have my english phone.) It turned out I grabbed my English phone and set the alarm for 7:45 A.M. I rolled over and went to bed.
7:45 A.M.~ Alarm goes off, I turn it off and thought about getting in the shower and ended up falling asleep again.
9:58 A.M.~ I wake up, think "uh oh, what time is it?...(wait for it...) 10 o'clock!??!?!!?!?!?!?!?! CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!" I missed my first class and my second is starting in 15 minutes. I jumped up and grabbed everything I needed in one big pile, quietly as to not wake Shawn (who thankfully is a hard sleeper) and I ran to the living room. (side note: Our apartment has no outside facing windows. They either face the indoor pool or someone else's room. So it's pretty dark all the time.) As I ran to the living I thought its pretty dark for 10 o'clock, but then fingured I was still tired, till I got to the living and saw it was REALLY dark and I stepped outside, in only my gym shorts until I could see the "morning" sky and see that it was dark.
Perplexed, I slowed down and walked back in the apartment thinking, "what?" I looked at the microwave and it said 5:45.I dropped my stuff on the couch and went back to bed. I dont even think I had a real thought between the microwave and the bed.
I ended up making it to all my classes today, and feel like I will appreciate them all for what they will teach. I just signed up for a guitar class, we'll see how that will workout, im not bothered if I end up dropping it, but I just want the freaking credit...or become a rock god. Which ever comes first.
I'm really pumped for my military fitness class, four days a week, and it teaches us drills, ceremony, and things along those lines, pretty much, if you pass the APFT when we take it, with a very good score, you dont have to go to class. I doubt I will pass it the first time, but my goal to be able to get it, and I think I could. If we get a score of 270 -300 then we recieve a "coveted" BYU-I ARMY ROTC sweater. That's my goal. I'll break down the scoring system for you. Three excersizes of which all are scored out of 100 points. There is: The two mile run, push-ups, and the sit ups. I'm looking forward to this program, and I hope I improve myself and my scores quickly. I got to run, its midnight and I got a test to take. Call me peoples. Email me if you want my cell phone number, im pretty much at the laptop at any given time. I will end off on something witty or clever next time. I promise.
